Evening Fun
Our SkyBar on the roof of the villa with it magnificent views of the mountain and village is open all day, every day, just the right place to relax after a hard day touring and enjoy an evening of fun. Saturday night is Karaoke night. A song in any language is welcomed with good natured jocularity. Cambodians love to sing and dance. Learn some new moves and even a Khmer word or two.
Ancient Ruins: Kampong Chhnang is on the road to Battambang which is a stepping stone to Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor Wat. A boat trip across the Tonle Sap Lake to Siem Reap is highly recommended. Kampong Chhnang has its own ancient ruins dating back before the last millennia. Easily accessible these are a great foretaste to Angkor Wat. When you leave Kampong Chhnang, you can go to Siem Reap by boat avoiding the rough road to the north.
The people of Andong Reussey due to its subsistent nature had remained relatively untouched by the savage hand of Pol Pot though much of the surrounding area has evidence of his brutality. A state of the art airfield, still exists in relatively good condition though never used for its intended purpose. Those that worked on the project were brutally slaughtered on its completion, the only positive outcome being that the 460 families of Andong Reussey were left to pursue a relatively untouched existence. Only now are tourists discovering Cambodia's own Shangri-La.
The SkyBar on the roof of the villa is open all day, every day, but Saturday nights are special, because Saturday Night is Karaoke Night. A song in any language is welcomed with good natured jocularity. Cambodians love to sing and dance. Learn some new moves and even a Khmer word or two.
Best view in the neighborhood to see the regular fireworks display
Day or night, the view is great!
